  • (Witness) Biography: She was mentioned in the Biography of Thomas Adamson; THOMAS ADAMSON, born 1762, son of the bedellus of the United College, St Andrews; educated at that Univ; liccn. by Presb. there 27th Sept. 1785; assistant at Dunfermline Abbey; ord. by Presb. as chaplain to St Andrews volunteers 27th Sept. 1797 ; pres, by George III. 18th June, and adm. 31st Aug. 1798; died 25th Feb. 1839, and was interred in the Cathedral burying-ground, St Andrews. He marr. 20th Dec. 1798, Elizabeth Mackie, Dunfermline, who died 29th Sept. 1849. aged 83, and had issue — Christian, bom 20th May 1803, died 17th Sept. 1806; John William, born 14th Nov. 1805; Elizabeth Katherine, born 27th March 1807 (marr.
