    Built by Harland & Wolff, Ltd., Belfast, Ireland. Tonnage: 6,603. Dimensions: 468' x 52'. Single-screw, 16 1/2 knots. Triple expansion engines. 7,500 I.H.P. Four masts and two funnels. Steel hull.2
  • (Deceased) Death*: Arcadia of Belfast Ship P&O died in 1925 History     
    Coal consumption amounted to 110 tons per day. Service: England-Australia. Passengers: 250 first and 160 second class. Scrapped in 1925. Sister ship: Oceana. Similar ships: Britannia and Victoria. Note: These remarkable passenger ships became famous as the "Jubilee" class of 1887.2

A list of the crew and passengers arrived in the ship Arcadia of Belfast Burthen 3349 tons, from port of London via Melbourne & ports to Sydney, New South Wales 13 July 1888. A Milne, chief engineer, 48, Dundee.
    A Milne Chief Engineer died on 12 July 1888 from injuries received. T Tornburn 2 Engineer acting. see Log Book page 22.1
