Sagaing Ship Henderson Steamship Line¹

Henderson & Co., she was used on the UK - Burma service. On 9th Apr.1942 while at anchor at Trincomalee she was bombed by Japanese carrier aircraft and set on fire. Abandoned, she drifted into Malay Cove where she was sunk by shellfire aimed below the waterline. The ship was sunk but most of the cargo of aircraft and ammunition was saved.
