  • Birth*: James Fairweather linen handloom weaver was born on 15 February 1823 at Glamis, Forfarshire, Forfarshire, .1,2
  • He was the son of William Fairweather linen weaver and Isabella Wilkie.1
  • (Erector) Memorial Inscription*: A Headstone was erected by James Fairweather linen handloom weaver say 1875 at Newmonthill Cemetery, Forfar, Forfarshire, Forfarshire, . Inscription reads Erected by James Fairweather in memory of his mother Isabella Wilkie who died 3rd May 1863 aged 68 years,
    And of his father William Fairweather who died 29th Decr 1869 aged 84 years,
    Also his niece Jane Adamson who died 6th Decr 1869 aged 21 years

    Robert died 17th Decr 1901 aged 69 years
    Jane died 27 March 1902 aged 68 years
    Agnes died 14th January 1903 aged 79 years
    Also David and William who died infants also children of the above William Fairweather and Isabella Wilkie his spouse.3
