The witnesses were Frederick Hardy and Albertina Hardy. Richard’s father was recorded as Thomas Aldridge, publican, and Mary’s father was recorded as Frederick Hardy, bricklayer.1
  • Marriage*: Mary Margaret Hardy married John Nisbet Skirving on Saturday, 19 October 1907 at Punta Arenas, Chile, ; Mary, a widow living in Punta Arenas, was married to (2) John Nisbet SKIRVING, widow & engineer living in Punta Arenas, 19 October 1907 in the house of the bridegroom according to the rites and ceremonies of the Church of England after civil marriage by Edwin Coupland Aspinall, British Chaplain.1
