    In the Fourth Column of Entry no 270 in the Register Book of Births, for the year 1884, before the name of the Child's Mother insert William Smith Factory Worker, on the authority of a Certificate in the form of Schedule (F) to the following effect:-
    In an action relating to the paternity of a male child born 1st July 1884, at the insistance of Jessie Adamson, factory worker, residing at number twenty eight South Street, Forfar, defender, the Sheriff Substitute of the County of Forfar (Forfar District) on the 2nd day of October 1884, found that the said child was the illegitimate Child of the said Jessie Adamson & William Smith.
    31st Decemer 1884 at Forfar signed W H Thomson registrar.2
